✨ Tasbih Beads — Description
Tasbih beads, also known as misbaha or prayer beads, are a string of beads traditionally used in Islamic devotion. They are crafted in sets—often 33, 99, or 100 beads—and can be made from wood, gemstones, resin, glass, or fragrant materials like oud or sandalwood.
Each bead is smooth and comfortable to roll between the fingers, allowing the user to focus on rhythm, calm, and remembrance. A larger separator bead or tassel marks the beginning and end of the cycle. Tasbih beads are not only functional but also symbolic—representing mindfulness, peace, and the beauty of spiritual practice.
✨ How to Use Tasbih Beads
-
Hold the tasbih gently in your right hand, typically between the thumb and forefinger.
-
Start at the marker bead or tassel.
-
Recite your chosen dhikr or phrase—commonly:
-
Subḥān Allāh (33x)
-
Alḥamdulillāh (33x)
-
Allāhu Akbar (33x)
-
or any personal remembrance
-
-
Move one bead at a time with each recitation, sliding the bead forward.
-
Continue until you reach the tassel again or complete the count.
-
Repeat cycles as desired to maintain focus, calm the mind, or deepen spiritual reflection.
